Depression--Some Prayer Helps

I say “YES” to Jesus! And

I say “NO!” to Satan!

   and by his wounds we are healed.

Even though I feel so depressed right now, Lord, I will take comfort in knowing that you know the path where I walk and you care.  You see me and you hear me.

I’m putting on that garment of praise by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus, take away the spirit of despair.

Jesus came to:  …comfort all who mourn,
 ³ and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
   instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
   instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
   instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
   a planting of the LORD
   for the display of his splendor.  Isaiah 61:2-3

You, God, are able to pierce through my darkness and bring light to my life!

I can never escape from your Spirit!
      I can never get away from your presence!

 ¹⁰ even there your hand will guide me,
      and your strength will support me.
